Never did I think that pics from my road trip from LA to Vegas would ever end up on ladies’ swimwear. I can’t mention the label because this suit has yet to be released upon the masses. But here it is. It’s a shame I don’t have the bod to get away with wearing one of these. Ha!

Shane Steadman. Some of you may know him, some not so much. Fact is that all of you should. He is the man who invented the Ugg Boot here in Oz back in 1973. He called them Ugg because they were so ugly. Originally made for him and his mates for something warm to get into after a cold winter surf. In the surf community he is someone to look up to. He has been shaping surfboards since 1963. I took some quick snaps of Shane in between shots while shooting for CAST EYEWEAR last week.

Did a road trip over Christmas and New Year. Drove solo up to Noosa and Byron and everywhere in between. The goal was to score as many waves as possible and catch up with as many friends as possible. One of the best holiday seasons I’ve had I think. Scored a massive cyclone swell in Noosa. The open beaches had waves with 20-30 foot faces. Huge! Around the corner in the National Park was a lot smaller but perfect endless waves. Here’s one of them.
